Grassroots Blues Festival in Duck Hill, Mississippi

July 9th - the Saturday after the 4th holiday.  Get the blues.....

The Grassroots has their line-up online and it looks like a  winner to me.  It starts right before 12 with a short intro by Sade Turnipseed, so be sure and bring your umbrella, sunshades, sunscreen and a hand fan if you've got one.  A chair would help, but the umbrella is more important (because that sun is HOT).  Either bring lots to drink or money to buy lots of liquids to keep yourself hydrated, because you sure don't want to poop out before O.B. Buchana rocks those hills out there at 9:20 p.m. - it's going to be a blast, I can't wait!

P.S.  Here's some photos from last year, and if you'd like to see some from another year or two, check my photo album (right hand column) .  And remember, this blues festival is not only jamming, but it's for a good cause as well.  How many things can you do that are more fun than a barrel of circus clowns and supports the area youth in education and development at the same time (sponsored by ACER, Action Communication and Education Reform)
